Earlier this year Texas Solar Guys was subcontracted by another Texas based solar installer to help install a 154 KW system on the Naval Air Station in Fort Worth. 516 – Silfab 300 watt panels with 3 – SMA Tricore inverters on a flat roof with tilt leg racking.
While the install did take a couple weeks, besides the rain, it went smoothly. We had a crane onsite to lift the materials to the roof, 8 stories up. But the guys had to take 105 steps everytime we needed to get up to the roof. Lots of rules and requirements are needed to work on a military base, we had no problems. All of our guys go through a background check before working for us.
We were very limited by the photos we could take. This is the best one showing most of the system that was installed.
